As of today I have two bait hives and two swarm traps for known locations of bees, and two Paradise hives geared up to receive nucs I bought from The Bee Place.
Feels good to be ready.
Takes the pressure off for building two experimental insulated hives.
You are indeed ready! I hope you fill every bee container that you have and you cup runneth over!!
😊

We woke up this morning to 50 degree temperatures and there was a swarm in a tree outside our bedroom window. They must have swarmed yesterday. They were too cold to fly. I placed a medium 10 frame box with drawn brood frames directly under them and pulled a handful of them down into the box. I didn?t have time to work with them and had to leave.
I?m hoping they will move in on their own by the time I get home.

Here are 2 pictures of it.

Nice Jim!! I hope it works out for you.

Good luck Father. I got wood dust flying today myself. Making 8 new traps plus my 4 old ones.
Jim I can?t wait till I finally get to see a swarm first hand. Hopefully it?s not my own.
Beautiful Jim. I hope you get them!
Fantastic, Jim!
My one 8 frame garden hive in a deep and medium is just bursting.
We've had cold nights and cool breezes during the day.
I'm sure they want to swarm and hope to catch it -- very good queen in that hive.
Just set out my second swarm trap today. Near water, on a tree along the wooded edge of a large open cemetery.

Sounds like a good location.
