I just checked my hives after transfering the NUC packages about 10 days ago. When I transfered the packages I put the new frames on the outsides of the hive. The bees haven't done nothing with them in over a week. I can see that there is more bees in Hive one. but Hive two doesn't seem to have any more bees. I check both hives for queens. And they are both there I need to go back out and see if I can check for eggs but I am having trouble seeing them. Hive one is the more aggressive and more active of the two. Should I give them more time? Should I feed Hive two because they do not seem to have as many bees going in and out. and where should I put the new frames. (the new frames are wooden with rite-cell. The NUC frames are Duraguilt and I have more duraguilt on order. Your help would be very appreciated.

Always.

Why? Is there a dearth? Is there nectar?

You have nucs. Keep the brood nest together. Put them anywhere else.
At this point, leave your bees alone. They will do fine.

duraguilt--that just might be your problem--some hives don't like to work the hi-tech stuff. But then I'm as old fashioned as the bees are.
Thanks, I just get kind of concerned when I see that the two hives are equal. Or that hive 2is so much quieter then the other one. I will leave them alone. and see where that takes me.
