Hello,

I have a question....

Is it possable to start a new hive from a package bee stock(if I can find one) with a frame kit.... as in new everything....
I am not interested in the honey this year

If you have money 4 lbs package would be a good start. It occupyes whole deep. But it is swarming time and a proper swarm is also good to start. Empty hive and maybe you get soon swarm in.

Chances of finding a source for packaged bees this time of year are next to nothing and nil.  Set up a hive, foundation will do, and when a awarm happens along, go for it.  Call your local PD, Animal control officer, of Fire Department as all receive calls from panic'd citizens about swarms of bees, but be aware that some of the swarms may turn out to be wasp or yellow jacket nests.
