Thanks Mr. Ben. I have never had to deal with AFB or lesser concern EFB. I already have a plan to deal with spore forming AFB. I would rather not say as my plan is harsh.

I have never had AFB but a friend?s daughter bought 3 hives from a commercial beekeeper 2 years later the bee Inspecter had to burn all three hives. Here in Florida, less than 1 percent of inspected hives end up with AFB. This is due to the the heavy inspection program that we have had for a couple of decades. This is pretty good considering most of the commercial bees over winter here in Florida.

Jim, that was a tough break for the daughter. Somehow, with the small percentage of AFB problems found, this does not seem fair. I hope she did not give up on beekeeping.
