My neighbor called yesterday, saying that a cluster of bees was in his year. Went over and, lo, there they were on a low branch of a sage bush.
Mary brought me a pillow case. I put it over the branch and shook them in there.
Took them out to the farm and dumped them into a hive that was set out as a bait hive. Gave them a gallon of syrup. This is my first time to catch a swarm.
What a hoot!
Congratulations. Catching a good swarm can bee a big rush.

Swarms are very interesting. Congratulations!
Do you think it was your own swarm or they came from somewhere else.

I hope it was one of my own! They are really good bees.
Congratulations!! Catching a swarm is always exciting.
The first inspection shows they are doing very well!
Lots of honey from a great Mesquite flow and lots of brood, some already emerged.
That's great news!
That is good news. I don't have Mesquite in my area. How much longer do you expect your Mesquite flow to last?

This is an exceptional year with abundant rainfall. The Mesquite are loaded with blooms. They last six to eight weeks.
Of the new comb built half is capped honey in the brood chamber.
It has been a long, cool spring with a lot of wildflowers, too.
Wonderful news
Great news, Father, made my day. Good-to see the most deserved is served or at least, one of the most deserved,,, there are lots of good ol deserving beeks here. Thanks for the PM a while back.
