Title: Comb Honey Split sections
Post by: buzzbee on June 13, 2006, 06:40:44 AM
I bought some split section equipment at auction.
I am considering trying these in the future. All i see for sale is the split sections. Does any one sell the dividers and other equipment for this method? Is there anywhere on the web that explains the technique for this operation? Such as removing comb sections from the split section or do you pacage it section and all?    Thanks

I haven't looked lately, but I believe Walter T. Kelly has everything for sections.  I assume these are square basswood sections and not ross rounds?

As far as how to work them I'd buy the Comb Honey Book by Richard Taylor and Honey in the Comb by Eugene Killion.  Better yet, if you have the money, find an old one by Karl Killion.

I bought a package/box with a boat -load of dividers, holders etc....  way more than I need.  If you are interested let me know and I could get some out to you at a very reasonable cost.  Just be aware that they are wood and very heavy if it is more than just a few pieces.
