Title: Daughters bee shots
Post by: Lesgold on January 05, 2024, 04:10:42 AM
Hi Folks,

My eldest daughter loves photography. She owns a good camera but still has the skill to take nice shots on her phone. Here is couple that she took today.

Beautiful!  I got a macro lens for my camera for Christmas, but there are no bees out for me to try it out on!

Pretty good for a Samsung phone. She sat around for hours trying to get a few photos from just the right angle. The detail is very good. Would love to have her skills in this area.

She took some nice shots there!  Good composition is a talent/skill and she looks like she has it.

Almost hit 20 degrees today. Not bad for the middle of winter. The bees were out and about on the lavender and jade. Caught this one on my phone. She will bring some nice pollen and nectar back to the hive.

The bees were out having a good look around today. Although it was only 17 degrees, it was calm and the bees were gathering a bit of pollen and nectar. The banksia in the garden is in full bloom and the bees love it. You may be able to see a couple of them buried deep within the flower head.

Nice.
That kind of looks like Bottle Brush. Is a tree? Our bees love Bottle Brush.

Middle of summer UK, 11C raining and I've got the fire on.

Similar to the bottle brush Jim. The same type of flower but a different species. That?s a cool day Nigel. I can see why you have the fire on. I?m sitting in front of the fire at the moment with a nice glass of red wine. Life?s tough at times.
