One healthy bee hive containes from 40 to 45 thousand bees.

honey bees visit approximently two million flowers to produce one pound of honey.

Quite a little.  1 kg bees are 10 000.  4 kg bees are needed to fill  2 Langstroth supers.

I think, that  6 supers colony have 70 000 bees. At winter it is 20 000.

Big swarm can weight 6 kilos.

Finman you right in the middle of a full size hive , the saying is between 60,000 and 80,000 for a strong hive with plenty of room.you got a bullseye
