I have already harvested my honey- just a few supers left to be capped. I have ten hives and have never had any...I am really worried. Thank-- you for any help..

as long as your hives are strong you shouldn't have a problem, even some hive that get weak can handle them, I found about 10 the last few days in mine and never had a problem with them. UGA beelad has put 2500 SHB in a single hive before and 3 months later they were still going strong..... they sometimes can reck a hive that is weak but I healthy hive will do fine......

SHB seem to co-exist with the bees in some kind of relationship in my hives.  However, no problem for this whole year as far as I can see.  Sometimes I will see 10-20 at a time when I do a hive check--of course I kill all that I find...Jon

Thank you. I just freaked when I saw them.. Did an inspect on the hives. They look great- will keep a close watch on them. QB
