Title: time between queens(requeening)
Post by: ConfedMarine on August 19, 2006, 07:01:59 PM
I am going to do a newspaper combine to requeen a hive. Is there a certain amount of time that needs to lapse between killing the original queen and placing the brood box(with new queen and crew) on top of the existing deep or can I do it all at the same time?

12 hours is my prefered amount.  24 is ok.  2 hours will do in a pinch.  None will probably do simply because of the time delay of chewing through the newspaper.
