Hello
He will be missed i watch his show every day and what they are saying on the news is he was stung by a sting ray and it went thru his heart. But they are doing a show on him tonite about all he has done and his love for animals.
Tom
I heard about this earlier today, couldn't believe it. :(
Here's a link I found on it.

I believe it. He's is cavalier around wild animals. It would not surprise me to find out that he was "interacting" w/ this stingray. It is however a shame for his family and surviving children.

I think its really sad that he died, I grew up watching his show and I learned a lot from his programs... I for one miss him and I never met him. I feel a void because someone I viewed as basically invincible died in a freak accident, thats twice in a year......
Having survived a few close encounters (10--I'm on barrowed time) with death I find the whole thing a little "Crikey."
[...that's twice in a year....]

My wife is Australian. Our kids are roughly the same age as the Irwins'. We are going to present our daughter with the opportunity to donate from her allowance to Steve Irwin's wildlife charity. We will match or exceed what ever amount she decides to give.
