From the look of it and where it is that you live, I would guess that it is some ssort of Euonymous plant ( pronounced closely to anonymous)

IT comes in a vary of colours and styles from light green to dark green to varigated.

It is very prolific and is often seen on the sides of the roads as an errosion control plant.  It is abundant, and the BEES do LOVE IT!!!!  I have had a slew of them on the plant here at my house too.

I dont know if I spelled the name correctly, though the plant is very prolific.

You can go to a website, Springhill.com, they have a directory, as does Marthastewart.com in their plant gallery.  You will probably be able to find alot more informaiton on this plant there too.  Have fun, enjoy it.  lm not sure what kind of honey it produces.

Title: Japanese Knotweed
Post by: danno1800 on September 19, 2006, 11:53:42 AM
it is an invasive plant called Japanese Knotweed. It makes a high flavored honey and the bees love to work it's high-sugar nectar in the Fall. They will use it all up over the Winter & Spring so it should not affect the taste of next year's honey. I have a big stand on the farm next to me.

That is what I do. I save my pictures in photobucket.com, it is free, and then copy and past the "tag" address under the picture I want to post. Thanks for the replies.

Yes Danno, it is exactly it. Now I know why my honey I took last Saturday was very, very dark but very tasty. Thanks.
