Title: Winter location
Post by: Fannbee on November 12, 2006, 09:19:04 PM
Just curious.  Since the sun is now in the Southern sky, none of my beehives get a lot of sun, a couple of hours of the first morning light.   The rest of the days zero.   Will this be a problem?

Sunshine would help.

The lack of daylight this time of year is a given and the bees have adjusted better than we have.  After all Bees never use Daylight Savings time, they use Daylight period.

As I see it the more light the bees see the more time they spend moving around and making honey. In this case more is always better. :)
