What a awful thing. I sure hope that all the hives were fastened and battoned down, with no injury to the colonies. I would imagine that they could take a pretty good tumble if they were all fastened up tight? Or am I wrong? Great day. Cindi

While they may have been tied down they didn't stay that way. They were all over the highway. And I doubt very much the bees were happy. Queens and colonies all tossed about. I don't think it was very good.

do you think that they would have ever become even close to finding their way back to their broken down colonies? Maybe, they are simply amazing orienting machines. Cindi

I think if they can find the queens they will minimize the damage. But something like that is pretty devastating.
