Title: Hive Beetles
Post by: cajgass on December 24, 2006, 12:13:12 AM
I live in Easley SC, and I am having trouble with Hive Bettles. I am new to beekeeping. I need some idea's on how to get rid of or at least control these pests. I only have 1 hive. Also I treated my Bees these year with Api Life Var. I did not treat them until early Nov. I also don't know if I treated them right. Will these be good enough? Is there anything else I need to do? And will I treat them again in the spring?
Thank you,
Christian Jones, Easley SC

Hello, I used apigaurd in the fall and will do so again in the spring just before the first flow.  There are beetle traps you can use also.
