New to bee keeping and I'm going to be starting my first package this year. Made all of my equipment. I would like to know what everyone thought of Glory Bee Foods Brazilian bee suit or the Honey Maker suit by Mann Lake. Thanks J.D.
The best bee suit on the planet, hands down:

Ventilated, cool, beeproof, virtually sting proof, built to last. Nothing else resembles it. Nothing else comes close.
if you wear one ;) i have great fun scraping stingers out of my jeans, and fishing the occasional bee out of my shirt or pants. the short and t-shirts of summer were especially fun!!
When I worked around the bees I would wear my jeans and a white cotton t-shirt or a light blue button up cotton long sleeve shirt. I almost never wore a bee helmet unless the bees seemed especially active. I am not saying this is the right or wrong thing to do. It is just how I was taught by the beekeeper I worked for. He thought that if you tucked you pants into your socks, carried a smoker and hive tool and moved like a cloud, there shouldn't be any problems. He also taught me about venom therapy and the benefits of bee stings.

do they do international orders :P ?
I've just made mine from standard white overalls, with velcro in the side pockets and a zip sewn in the front. its not very sting proof if they get angry though.
anyone have any ideas on bee suits in australia? I want another one so when one is smelly i can wear the other.
James.
>do they do international orders?
I have no idea. You could ask.
hi mb, thanks for the reply.
is that the one with the white mesh ventilation stuff? did i see a pic of it somewhere on your site? do you have a better pic for me to take a look at of it? I've never seen anything like that over here. They all just seem like overalls with zippers over here. I wish would have organised one while i was over in the states.
James.
>is that the one with the white mesh ventilation stuff?
Yes. It's three layers. The inside and outside are mesh and the center is like some kind of thicker rubber grid that holds the two meshes apart so the bees can't sting through it.
> did i see a pic of it somewhere on your site?
Probably this one?

I've never really taken a picture of the suit. Bullseye Bill on Beesource used to have some on his site but the site disappeared and I don't know if he has it back up again.
Michael I'm taking your advice and I ordered the Golden Bee Suit. Cost 249.00 and around a 4 to 6 week delievery. Thanks for your advice J.D.
i just found a jacket and veil that are camouflage. considering my last two encounters with my hive, i'm thinking that's a good idea! maybe if they don't see me coming.........?
