Nice picture. I really love the look of the dark bees. Greatest of days. Cindi
abejaruco, this isn't ordinary for this time of the year is it? i took a few pictures of my hives last weekend (8 days ago) but just didn't find the will nor the strenght :-P to post them...man, it looked like they were swarming at the beginning of february!!! i mean really sweat! baskets fuuul of pollen
I think I saw a mite.
Just kidding.
Very nice picture.
Sincerely,
Brendhan
Mici, here is normal, I split the hives finishing February. But in the North of Spain, 900 Kms from Cadiz, where usually there is not brood during the winter, beekeepers have been splitting hives in November, and still breeding!
Abejaruco, I think that is neat that one bee looks like it is almost standing on hits head with its bum up in the air. Awesome day. Cindi
great pics Abejaruco how did u get such a nice pic being zoomed in so close?
Wife noticed the one crashing on its head. Said that has got to leave a mark. The city girl says she might step off the pavement this spring and go see my hives.

Chance! Repeating and repeating and one day I play the flute.
Like this another photo. I have found a nice "blue" like the blue period of Picasso ;)

Well, show your "blondes", Billyk.
I have had blondes and negras in a "TOTUM REVOLUTUM", and the hybrids have been fabulous. Perhaps aggressive, or colerics.
