Yes but, in boyscouts, the badge doesn't really mean anything anymore. It was discontinued in 1995, I beleive.

It was discontinued in 95. That says a lot though about why there are not a lot of new beekeepers.

I had an offer of a lot of donated equipment to my Troop for working with the boys. But there's no badge for it. I think it's a shame.
Is there is a national organization that could lobby the BSA? They might reinstate the badge, or a least make beekeeping part of an small scale agriculture badge or something to that effect.
BUT you can get other useful badges like Waterskiing. :?

Sorry to bring bad news, but the last I heard it was dropped again. They gave one last group the chance to finish and then canceled it.
