Title: HFCS
Post by: Lewis on March 05, 2007, 11:49:03 PM
Hi:
I belong to a BK club just south of Charlotte NC in up state SC. We have lost our source for HFCS 55. Does anyone know of a source where we can purchase HFCS within a reasonable distance from Charlotte. The members use about 8 to 9 hundred gallons a year. We were able to get a small amount of cane syrup but that's not a reliable source.
What is the opinion of cane syrup should it become available.
Sure hope someone can help it a bad time not to be able to feed.
Thanks
Barney

How far is Brushy Mt. from you?  (Moravian Falls, NC)  They might have it.

I would prefer it.

You are not that far from Brushy Mountain and yes they do carry it.  If you buy over 100 gallons at a time, it was $2.40 per gallon last year.  Go north on 77, west on 421 to Wilkesboro, then up the mountain to the store.  I'd say you're about 1.5 hours away.
