Hello,
This is a great site!
I recently bought a large number of Medium supers that were previously used for brood at a very cheap price. Needless to say, I bought more than I needed and I wanted to know your opinions on using some of them as honey supers. I have heard that using old brood comb may affect the honeys taste, possibly making it more bitter. Is this really an issue, or can I used the combs? most are in good shape.
Thanks
The bees leave all kinds of waste in the bottom of brood comb - I don't think it's a good idea to use for honey you plan to harvest.

new foundation does not cost that much if you buy in bulk. depending on the kind of frames you have, the foundation is pretty easy to replace.

Some people believe that. I don't.

IMO, no it's not an issue.
