Title: Long cold snap, extra feeding in order??
Post by: Eve Sylvia on April 11, 2007, 12:16:36 PM
I had thought feeding season might be over, but this cold snap  (low 50's h - high 20's lows) for 2 weeks, plus rain coming (maybe more snow) makes me want to feed more. The hive is full and busy, but they haven't ventured out much in days. So I'm climbing up onto the roof, (where I keep them, high) with more verbena sugar water. What about the rest of you in the cold weather belt? I hear it has been even more frigid inthe midwest.

Took them up some nice warm food and found that last weeks was unfinished, pollen coming in, so I guess they are doing ok in the fields. I'm becoing a worry wart!!!!
