From the article:
They were an unpromising colony from the start, riddled with wax moth and unable to grow in number particularly well. The queen died and was replaced with another, who was usurped by a third soon afterwards.

You know this has promise. It isn't a puff piece. Just a beekeeper trying to be a beekeeper.
