I'm in Southeastern Wisconsin. Should I be worried?
Thanks!
You no worry dosen't change much .Are your bees on the way or late or what. Just make sure you are prepared so when the bees get there they will be ready to go
kirko
we have an order coming later in the month for our area. some people like a couple of extra weeks for the weather to get better. can you contact the place that sold you the bees just to make sure they didn't get lost somewhere?
Mine were supposed to come on saturday.
They called and said that bad weather in Ga.
delayed them.Just got to wait another week.
Good thing ,with all the rain earlier this week its like
a mud bog near my hive.
Hope yours are on the way
Keith
From what I understand, the two pound packages come first. There have been two loads delivered. The first contained all two pounders, second mostly two and some three pounders. This being the third load, should contain allot of three pounders. I ordered three, three pounders for my first hives.
I'm ordering through Dadant. The bees are coming from California and the queens are from Hawaii.
I talked to my friend who is familiar with Lee @ Dadant in Watertown, Wisconsin and there is a load somewhere en route from West Coast as I type.
The hives are deployed, the syrup is made and in the fridge.
:-)
PS. All winter I have built hives and read books and got good info from Beemaster's. Now it's time to meet the ladies!! I'm totally hyped!
take pictures! you may not remember after you are done :-)
