Title: Hello From North East Scotland
Post by: jcaturra on April 27, 2007, 09:33:13 AM
I am just introducing myself!!! I am from the north east of Scotland UK (Turriff)! I am 25 years old and have been keeping bees for 3 years. I currently have 35 stocks. My bees are in national hives!!! Proabably the most popular in the UK!!! Trying to increse up to about 50!!! The bees are working hard just now on the Oil Seed Rape!!! then they will be moved to tree/clover and finally up to the hills for the heather!!! (I have caught the bug big time!!!!) :-D

I too missed your intro. Welcome! I know how it is to catch the bug. This beekeeping bug has bit me pretty hard. I am facinated by the bees.

What is a national hive? How is it different from the Langstroth hive?
