Title: permanently pollen bound?
Post by: Zoot on May 23, 2007, 11:14:48 PM
Is it my imagination or do some frames actually become so jammed up with pollen that the bees never use it? I have some frames (in hives) that have the some pollen stores in many cells that were there last summer.

The next time you make up a nuc place that frame in there to raise lots of brood.

Or, freeze it and feed it back to them next Spring.  It will get them off to a good start.
