I was just kind of needing a little advice as to brand or style of refractometer. I have seen cheap ones and very expesive ones and really don't know the difference but think that you ussually get what you pay for so a little advice would be great.
I'm right along with you. I need to get one also and don't know the one i need to get right off. Anyone that suggest a brand or even more information, would be greatly appreciated.

For checking the moisture content of honey you don't need the latest contraption. No Rube Goldberg gimicks needed. Just a simple inexpensive one, if you need one at all. If you plan on processing and selling your own honey from your house, a stand, or a farmer's market then you should have one to help satisfy health department regulations on quality control.
I have the refractometer that NIS sells. He sells on eBay and his price is better than Dadants. The one Dadant sells is the same one that Charlie Downs has on sale right now. He is very quick on answering questions and his warranty is excellent.
