Here are links to a couple interesting items posted by Jorn here some time ago. I missed it then but had a look today and thought it worth reposting the links:

This is for the guys good with duct tape and baling twine!!Actually great idea for people who like to improvise!
I am cross posting this in General topics for others to see too.
I made a honey extractor from that site. it works real good and only cost me around 50.00. It will extract 5 frames of honey very quickly using a 1/2 in drill.
Hey, that's pretty nifty! Looks like a money saver to me.
I remember Jorn, he was a very valued member here, but he has gone by the wayside. I recall many posts that he made that were wonderful learning tools. If you want to read some good stuff, go into his profile. Resurrect some of his posts to read, these posts will be worthwhile. Many of us old-time forum members (well, when I say old-time, I mean like me, almost a year now since I have become a member of our family of people that love the bees, that participate on this wonderful space in time) Enjoy our life we're livin', the best of a wonderful day, and the greatest of healthy wishes to us all. I like the foundation idea (what better way to be able to trust your foundation is chemical-residue free?), but I think I'll stick with paying for a nice SS, food-grade, professionally made extractor.
