Title: Finally got my bees
Post by: Keith on May 28, 2007, 06:29:14 PM
Bees came in tuesday finally. 1 nuc carniolians five frames. Doing very well seeing young bees constantly. Bring in lots of pollen. Wanted to know if there is web site that tells you what kind of pollen it could be. Plan on first inspection tomorrow. Thanks and have a nice day Keith.

I use www.pollen.com a lot - it isn't great in the off-pollen seasons, but NOW.... wow does it pack info. You enter your zipcode, it breaks down allergy info, types of trees and plants and (look into advanced settings there) for detailed tree and plant photos and details.

I hope it helps - the only thing you won't see is pollen pics hanging off of bee legs, color variations from area to area would likely not be helpful from pollen pics. Hope it helps, let me know - the site is a lot deeper than it first appears, so dig around some. :)
