Has anybody here bought the All American trade name from R Weaver's in Texas?
I bought several packages from them this spring. They tout the bees are bred to be calm bees.
They are the hottest hives I have and they are not even strong yet....
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this with Weavers bees????
I opened one of the hives this past weekend and after pulling only the second frame I had 50+ bees on my shoes trying to sting them and they were in a fury...
Possibly africanized genes playing a toll????
I read in a post last year about this same problem, however I have had no experince with them. I would guess they might have ahb genetics due to their location.

The last time I had B Weaver's bees was 2001. They were vicious.
Vicious is the appropriate term for them. They are aweful pricy for being so dang vicious.
The other weird part is one of the packages obsconded a day or so after I released the queen. Everything seemed fine until I released her.
Then poof. There went $120.00 somewhere out there. This maybe the last time I buy there bees.
Any other place to buy Buckfast hybrid? They were the only ones I see.
I bought one this year & will never know how hot the bees get because they superceded her very quickly. -Danno

There are some Canadian breeders. One did an import. Try a search here and on beesource and see if you can find how to contact them.
