I was wondering if anyone out there had to shop for the cheapest place to purchase pierco foundation and unassembled frames for shallow supers? I am ready to place an order and was just curious so i could save money towards other supplies.

not pierco i mean duragilt foundation, sorry.
IMHO, duragilt is the worst choice for foundation possible. If the bees chew the wax off, which they sometimes do, all you have left is a flimsy piece of plastic.
I have used brushy mountain and dadant. Both are great companies. Most bee supply companies seem to have comparable prices. I would also stick with wax foundation. There are enough other things that you have to deal with without trying to make them use plastic.
I also would advise against the duragilt, I use assembled wooden frames with the plastic foundation that dadant sells. It goes for less than two dollars in the volume that I buy in.
I have duragilt , pierco, and wired wax, and the duragilt has been pulled out before any of the rest. The wired wax is the one they are makeing passage holes in and the pierco looks like isn't as attractive to them as the duragilt. May just bee the arkansas way for the russians to pull from duragilt who knows. I ordered the duragilt and frames from better bee today.

Cheapest is no foundation. See Michael Bush's site for foundationless frames. I haven't used foundation in 4 years.

Hey newbee where at in arkansas are you? I got my hives about a week ageo maybe 2 and thay are duragilt and man are thay ever grate. The guy I help says if you dont have the time to do the wireing just get duragilt. The bees dont like it as well as 100% wax but it works fine. He breeds his own russian queens and when he gets his hive in better shape and with all new russian queens ill get 2 queens. He knows ill get one of them for sure. Mine are so good I dont even need to smoke them or any thing. The other day we had a good friend over and he wanted to see the bees. So I took him over there and he jumpd right in with them. I let him look and see how I was doing ever thing and then he did the other one. He had so much fun now he is into beekeeping lol. I did have a guy that lives a ways down the road tell me to get rid of them hives. And I told him if you wanna move them then do it and he said no way. Im like thats what I was thinking lol :-D. We live on a dirt road 2 miles off the highway and all the people that live down this way think it is really cool that im doing that. But thay are from ca so thay are use to the honey bees. But any ways have you tryd kelleys thats where I got my stuff from. + you get a lil more with them any ways so its good.
Mann Lake has PF100 (deep) and PF120s (medium) one piece plastic frames for $0.99. As a bonus, they are 4.95mm cell size. The bees are drawing them well for me. I bought a thousand of them.
I am in marion arkansas. I am not extracting any more until the first honey flow is over. Maybe i'll have all the things i need by then. I extracted 20lbs. out of 6 shallow frames. It is pure honey the color or kayro syrup. People are going crazy over it. I was wondering if any one had suggestions on how much i could sell a 4oz. and 8oz. jar for. Or where i can find prices to compare with.
I wouldn't retail good home grown honey for less than $3 a pound. More is better. :)
