Found an 8 lb swarm about 20 feet away from all my other hives. However, can't figure out which one it came from... Also, this is one of my hardest swarms every caught - they gathered on a tree about 40 feet up. Then when i had the hive about 10 feet off the ground, i accidentally dropped half of it. Ended up with more stings than I wanted. At least another swarm is mine! I'll post a pic soon.

Great job,
My swarm captures have been easy so far! Good thing ,I don't like anything more than a step ladder!
Ken, I had one that was in a chimney 36' up. Had to go through the daughter's room, get on one roof then shimmy up between two other peaks. Was bear hugging the chimney stack to get to 'em. Didn't get the queen at first, got her an hour later after combing through handfulls of bees. Now that was a fun one!
I look forward to seeing the photos. I had a very similar situation recently but mine were nowhere close to 40 feet up. I don't go that high unless I'm on a boom-lift. I captured this swarm about 4 or 5 weeks ago and they already filled in two deeps and filled a honey super and capped it. I put another super on today. There were so many bees in the beginning when I caught it that I had to put them in two deep supers.
Congrats.
