Last Friday, June 1st, I removed some bees from a house. There were a lot of bees and a lot of comb. I took them home on Wednesday, June 6th. I observed the bees on, I believe it was Monday, June 4th. Have them in one of those beemax hives, if that's accurate, the styrofoam type. It was quick and easy. The bottom entrance is narrower than on a wooden box and because of the size of this hive, they bearded from the start, even with sbb. Anyways, on Monday, I noticed this one bee that was slapping its abdomen while circling on the bottom board. Other bees were circling with it. It was weird. This bee and I did see one other do it as well, was, I mean, smacking its abdomen against the bottom board. It was kinda violent. Now, it also appeared to me that this one bee that really caught my attention was outta place, almost as if it were an intruder from another hive trying to gain acceptance into this hive. Anyone ever see this spectacle before? Any ideas as to what was going on?
