Got first real honey today

Hello my friends,

I extracted 8 frames from a medium super today on my strong hive. I left some for the bees, but they are doing great and I believe they will fill up another super for me. ( they have made lots for themselves as well, throughout the hive)

I got around 25 lbs from this extraction. The whole experience was so awesome that I was giggling throughout the whole procedure and made such a mess. I had honey everywhere. I was just into having fun and did not worry to much about the cleanup. The best tasting honey ever. The bees are working lots on jasmine and lavender plants now. (of course, I am sure they go elsewhere too)

I truly appreciate all the help and understanding I have received these past months. I never could have made it without all of you to help me. I have had many challenges with my hives and I am learning so much. I will not give up. I hope to just get better and better.

I had so much pleasure today from my little girls and I thank them for the delicious honey.

I am happy today.

Annette, there is nothing like your own fresh honey! What a marvel of nature, when your bees come full circle for you and you have a bounty to share with friends and family, and that's when people will start calling you the bee lady. :-D

Fantastic, Annette!  Sounds yummy and fun.  It's so rewarding when you have worked so hard, as have the bees.
