Hopefully I'll be in bed by the time she gets home, Not only is she working today, but she's working forced overtime tonight.  She's a cop also and has to work due to the festivities of the fourth, I'm a detective and get the day off.  I PROMISE I don't rub it in at all!!

That's unfortunate she has to work all day on a holiday, but I understand it goes with the territory. I am very appreciative for what police officers do to make this crazy world of ours a better place. Hope you two can get together soon and celebrate a holiday, cause she missed this one. I believe she is entitled to a rain check. :)

yeah when you do this job, holidays are the nearest day that the family is off together.
