The oddist thing.  I took two buckets with residue honey on them from harvesting honey and left them by the hives to get cleaned up.  What I ended up with was two buckets of dead bees.  About 300- 400 bees per.  Wasn't enough honey left in them to stretch across the bottom so I doubt any drowned.
The good life is honey on a Ritz.

maybe they piled and suffocated? I know my baby chicks will do that, pile up in a corner or all jump into a bucket and suffocate.  :(

That sounds horrific, please keep the buckets away from the baby chickens!!

fcderosa.  Now that has gotta be a bummer.  I would really love to know what really happened, maybe they did pile up and suffocate, but that sounds weird too.  Have a great day, great life.  Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service
