Persnickety Bees?

Last Friday I stole several messed-up frames of honey from a super and removed the honey with the crush/strain method.  I then put the sticky remains on an upside-down telescoping cover and put it out a couple of hundred yards away from my bees for clean-up.  After a couple of days I was only seeing one or two bees at a time cleaning up so I moved it about 6 ft or so in front of the single hive in my yard.  The bees come out of the hive and fly right over it to head for parts unknown.  This has been going on for the last 2 days now and only a few bees seem interested in a free lunch. 

What does this mean?  Does this indicate a honey flow in progress?  Don't like the flavor?

You have a flow going on. If there was no flow the bees would be all over it.

I did the exact same thing this weekend.  Its good that we have a good flow here at this time of year it is usually very hot and dry but not to bad this year.
