Bees moving back & forth

Why do bees do this?  They stand still and seem to rock forward & back in rythm.  I have seen it a lot on the alighting board in the summer after the flow.  I've heard it called washboarding.

If you look a little closer, you'll see each worker has her own iPod. ;)
