pollen

i have a very strong hive(1 deep, 2 med brood,2 med supers) that i opened today.  i have taken honey from this hive already this year but had not open it past the top brood box.  today i looked in the whole hive and found that they have split the deep which is on the bottom between mostly brood and pollen, i would say it has 70% pollen,15-20% brood and the rest honey.multiple frames of just pollen on both sides. i know pollen is a good thing but im worried that in the fall/winter they wont have enough space for honey stores.  should i be concerned about this?  i guess i could freeze a few frames of pollen and feed it to them in the spring. is this advisable? should i have kept a closer eye on this?  thanks kevin

I would not worry so much about how much Pollen they have currently stored.  I once heard somewhere bees need approx 4 full frames of Pollen goign into the winter for early spring brood rearing.  If you are worried about the bees not having enough honey for the winter, then after you pull off all your supers, and start your fall mite treatment feed them sugar water until they will not take anymore or it is too cold to open the hive.......

If I'm rearranging things, I try to get the pollen on the outside edges and the box underneath the box full of bees.
