finding wild honeybees

Hi All,

earlier this year I moved a feral nest to a hive at my home, they were in an old wood wire spool and the transfer was fairly easy cutting out the comb and wiring into frames, I dont have a clue as to what breed they are except that they have some yellow bands, are pretty docile, keep the hive very clean, use little propolis and can build comb like crazy when they want to ( Italian strain?), there must be another nest somewhere near as there are still a lot of foragers in the area where I originally found them, it is in an industrial area and the nearest place where someones hive might be is over 3 miles away unless someone at a company has a hive on their property.

if there were another feral nest does anyone have any experience on how to find it, or would that be more like a needle in a haystack?

You could put out a swarm trap with pheremone if you want to catch one.
