This is quiteunusual and I fear disturbing.

There arent any bees around here. I have put out a frame of honey and it hasnt attracted one.

Then again, I moved here with my hive, so I dont know how many were here before I came.

Im starting to think that all the bees around the area I saw were mine.

It is very very dry. worse than last year. The grass isnt growing, no rain in August, like the tap was turned off. We have less water in the dams than this time last year.

This summer, watering your garden from the tap or using tap water outside the house will be banned.

This is unprecedented.

The 3 billion dollar desalination plant is 3 years away. Water prices are to rise 15% to pay for it.

One month to go till the new nucs arrive.

is using tap water to make syrup banned?

I have been talking with my friends in tassie. They have water but the drought on the mainland has been very bad. They keep placing more restrictions on water use.

The bees will not do well in the drought.

Mick, it sounds like there is some pretty hard times going on where you live.  I wish for rain for you.  If only I could send down the excess of rain that we have, we complain about so much rain , it can be annoying.  Have a wonderful day, best of life, Cindi
