Nice pic. Are you glad that you did not do crush and strain?  What kind of extractor? how many frames?

nepenthes

12 8oz jars of honey, probably 3-4 more jars left with whats left in the extractor, and The Bucket.

I got 8 frames of honey, (probably more like 6 with a couple half frames).

I have a Dadant M00390 Junior Bench Extractor.

Congrats. Its a "right of passage" for all beekeepers to get their first crop. And to spend more time cleaning and setting up extractor than actually extracting! Great practice for next seasons big haul! Now, to decide who gets a taste of your very limited supply of honey!

Yes - beautiful honey!

The color is very appealing and I'm sure you had a ton of fun extracting.

nepenthes

I got another 5 Jars!

That is all I could get out of it! Thats like 17 Jars.

Is it something like 1.5 cups is a Pound?

You're just harvesting that now?  In Ohio?   Must be inside! (too cold out).  I must have missed some back-story on a prev thread or something but, if that's your first crop - congrats!  & you must have some serious patience to wait so long prior to extracting!
What was the nectar flow for that?  Looks nice.  How's it taste?

32Oz/Quart honey = ~3lbs.

Cody, now isn't that nice, (aren't you glad you got that new camera?  Look at the pics you have shown us).  You did good (your girls did good).  Wait until next year.  I am like you.  I haven't got around to extracting the honey yet either. It is still in my basement, shame on me.  I have to do the crush and strain, as I don't have an extractor this year (but next year, yup, uh huh, uh huh).  Beautiful day, great life.  Cindi

I think Cody has been waiting to get his extractor. I beleive he is very patient.

I had taken the super off a while back. Kept it in the basement! We hadn't had an extractor till just the other day LOL.

I'm pretty sure its got a good bit of golden rod in it, but its mostly wildflower.
