NJ hive Registration

Hi- I'm expecting my first 2 set of bees in a couple of weeks.  I read another entry today about registering the hive.  Does anyone know if I have to contact some authority, get a license, be inspected etc in the state of NJ?  Thanks.

You just complete and fax in the form, it isn't a big deal.

All that is needed is registration ( free of charge ) so that the state knows where you overwinter your hives in case they need to notify you if  pesticides are being sprayed in your area. Tim Schuler is our State Apiarist, he's one of the nicest persons you'll ever meet. If you want him to inspect your bees, drop him an email, he just may be in your area on any given day, but he's a very busy person.  http://njbeekeepers.org/ :-D
