Hive for package bees

I am picking up my three packages in three weeks. I have some frames with honey and pollen. I thought I could use them for the packages. How should they be located in the hive. Is like #1 and #10 honey, #2 and #9 pollen, foundation in the middle, may empty comb in the center OK?

If you plan on regressing to small cell, then put those frames on the outside and let them build the smaller stuff in the middle.  If you're sticking to the larger cells, then I would put the already drawn out stuff right in the middle so the queen can get laying sooner.

Packages, like swarms become late in Late-June to Mid-July.  Anything earlier is do-able.

Last year I received my packages on May 16th. They've done great. Mat is further north than me, so there shouldn't be any problem.

Most anywhere will do.  I'd probably put them on the outside edges.
