For those following my failed attempts at a difficult cutout, today was the last day. I have been going back to house every morning and boxing bees from the soffit. The homeowner is having repairs done. So I collected the last of the bees I could w/ brush and pan, and here is the horrible part-dropped an insecticide bomb. Even though I know I did as much as I could- dropping the bomb was hard and went against evry molecule of my beekeeping self.

Yeah, I know the feeling, I've had to do similar (unhappy part of a swarm on a schoolyard during a school day).

But...I look at it this way:  Bees in a hive are good but bees not in a hive are a pest.  Just like a pet dog is good, but a dog wandering the countryside killing chickens is bad.

I would say get some "bee quick" it smells a lot nicer than bee go. This will force the bees out of the area. In Florida this is considered using a chemical treatment which only licensed exterminators may do. I am not sure how NJ views it.
