I have several drawn out deep frames on plastic foundation.  I have grooved top bar and grooved bottom bars so simply cutting the foundation to size would eliminate the tapered edge that fits into the frame's groove.  Any groovey  ideas to solve this one?

I'm about to encounter this problem in a few days.
My plan is to cut the frames down, with the foundation in place (jig saw).

And then how do you plan to add the grooved bottom stick?

Couldn't you run the bottom bar through a table saw and make the groove wider so that it's the same thickness as the plastic foundation before the taper then scrape back the wax about 1/4 of an inch on the bottom so that it fits into the bottom bar then just nail the bottom bar to the end bars.    metzelplex

I cut all mine down, but not with foundation in them.  I then cut the end bars off of the bottom bar and made a butt joint with the bottom bar inside of the end bars:
