My hive has 2 deep bodies with plastic foundation and I would like to add a medium box with starter strips so i can crush & strain the honey easier. Should I have all 10 frames as starter strips in the medium or should I alternate every other one with wax foundation to encourage the bees to draw the comb?

i've put all starter strip supers on and they drew it out pretty straight. but if they don't it really doesn't make a lot of difference since you are gonna destroy it anyway.

One drawn one in the center is nice for a ladder.  If you alternate they just draw the drawn ones out more and ignore the ones in between and you end up with five very fat combs that you can't get out of the box as they almost meet under the ones with the starter strips.
