help, can frozen brood be thawed by the bees and hatch??? i know this sounds dumb but i froze about 4 frames of brood from my hot hive i killed off and after 2 or 3 days in the freezer i stuck the frames in a deep and put them ontop of the deep my bees are in, today i look in and see fresh white larve/pupa? all over the deeps i put in, is it posable for the eggs or larva to survive in the freezer??? i dont want to be hatching out any hot bees again....thanks

If you have hot bees, killing the workers isn't really your problem, replacing the queen who is laying the hot brood is a more important issue.

In my experience requeening a hot hive quite often instantly calms them down.  That, of course, would indicate it's not just genetics or that the queen is more involved in the issue than people like to admit.  My guess is that it's a waste of brood.

I had a hive that was very hot and i had to get rid of them... these frames of brood were from the hot hive, these are "new" bees i  bought. thanks

i didnt want to take the time to see,i know thatsounds bad but i have small children living next door to me and these things were attacking anything that moved (almost anything)  and i didnt want to take the chance of the little ones getting hurt....thanks

PS: if i had a place to move them i would have moved them just for the work and experance of "fixing" the hive....
