Does anyone know of a good reference book dedicated to describing nectar plants/trees.  One specific for the south, or Texas in particular, would be most useful.  (e.g. Shinners & Mahler's Illustrated Flora of North Central Texas, but focused on bee-plants).

Does any of your college/university websites have any information on nectar and pollen plants?  Otherwise you can try some searches in general online and see what you have in your area.  One of my books, The Hive and the Honey Bee, has information and listing of states, whether major or minor nectar/pollen sources and bloom time frames.  A place to start anyway.
Everyone said it couldn't be done. But he with a chuckle replied, "I won't be one to say it is so, until I give it a try."  So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin.  If he had a worry he hid it and he started to sing as he tackled that thing that couldn't be done, and he did it.  (unknown)
