Drone comb wax

I melted down some drone comb (drones still in it).  The wax came out beautiful and bright yellow but it has a bit of an odor from the "cooked" drones.  I melted it in a solar wax melter I made.  I would like to use the wax to add to plastic foundation.  Do you think the odor will be found offensive by the bees?
