Beautiful!  Is this a night blooming plant?  Is there a scent?  My neighbor had a night blooming cyrious (sp?) that she nutured for 5-6 years till it bloomed. (She could make rocks grow & bloom..) Had the most wonderful scent!  I still remember her running over & getting us kids up out of bed @ 12:30AM on a school night to see it. Was huge & looked somewhat like your pic from what I can remember(was 10-11yrs old..)  Congratulations!!

Thats really NICE!!!
Is it some type of orchid?
The center looks like a starfish of some sort!
Will it get more flowers or is there gonna be a bunch of them?

Suprstkr.  Holy smoking midnight flowers!!!  Now that must have been a thing of such beauty, and I can imagine, through my mind's eye, what this scent the flower must have emitted, you are a very fortunate person to have witnessed this event, after so many, many years.  Beautiful and most wonderful day in this great life we all live, love and share.  Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service
